PVC dots work by raising small, soft points above the glove surface. Those points press into boxes, bottles and metal parts, so friction goes up without the glove becoming stiff or hot. That is why dotted gloves are popular for driving, picking and bottle handling.
Dots come in two options: one side (palm only) and both sides. Both sides help when workers flip boxes or grip from either hand, but they cost more. For most warehouse work, palm-only dots are enough.
Dots have limits. They do not make a glove waterproof, and they do not protect against cuts or sharp edges. For oily work, dots help with grip but the cotton base will still absorb oil — tell us the exact condition and we will advise whether a dotted glove is right at all.
